Orbit, for the unacquainted, is our latest jQuery plugin that creates simple, lightweight image sliders from clean HTML and CSS. We released the initial version about a month ago, but in our quest for world domination, we've created an updated, more awesome version! The new hotness that is Orbit version 1.1 now boasts:
- Full HTML Captions for all your links, buttons and images
- A dynamically built bullet navigation that will let you jump to any slide in the show
- A baller loading style that will avoid the flash of unstyled content and replace it with a loading animation
- Greater browser support (IE7+, FF3.5+, Safari, Chrome)
- Plus all the great features it already had like snappy animations, directional navigation and the coolest timer known to mortals
Now, you're probably thinking with all these new features how could we have possibly kept this plugin lightweight? Magic. Well, not quite, but we've worked very hard to keep the minified version of the plugin small and it now stands at a mere 3.2KB.
