Last week, Bryan touched upon the need for companies to have a responsive front-end framework and how we're doing to make sure that Foundation remains a professional solution. But we can't forget the open-source community that helped make our framework what it is today. And we've been constantly astonished by its continued growth. Today, we have 309 contributors on Github and millions of designers and developers are using the framework worldwide. We've made over 5,000 code commits with the help of the community as well. And with the launch of Foundation 5, we're thrilled to introduce a Forum to further foster that community.
Foundation Forum is a community first, support tool second
We want our fans to use the forum to ask and answer questions regarding responsive design and Foundation. Unlike GitHub, the Forum is your place to start a dialog with the community. We wanted to give our fans an avenue to ask open-ended questions about a variety of topics, from design questions, installation issues, to the proper implementation of Foundation code. You can get answers from other avid users.
Using the Forum
Foundation Forum makes it easy to describe your problem using code, images, and text descriptions. Here's some writing tips to get you going:

Begin by writing a good title to describe your problem. This will set the stage and help you describe your problem.

Then describe your problem with by carefully ordering text, code and imagery. This will help you tell a story about where you're getting stuck.

Before publishing your post, don't forget to add at least one tag! This helps us create a folksonomy to help others find and comment on your post.
Foundation Forum is one of many steps we've taken to make it faster to learn Foundation. The Forum makes it possible for us learn about common issues our users run into during development, address responsive design questions with a designer's perspective, and offer suggestions on how to overcome implementation issues. And we're going to continue adding features in the coming weeks, like email notifications. It is the perfect complement to our ZURB University courses on Foundation, our more comprehensive documentation and video tutorials.
As we transition our free email support to a paid plan next month, the Forum will be a free and great place to collaborate with other designers, engineers and us at ZURB.
